Martin Burger has worked with some very big names during his commercial real-estate career.

His employers have included Related Cos., Blackstone Group LP and Goldman Sachs Group Inc. At one point, when he was on his own, he worked on a Las Vegas investment with actors George Clooney, Brad Pitt and Matt Damon.

So when a head hunter called him in 2009 looking for suggestions of people who might eventually be able to succeed developer Larry Silverstein, he had a strong candidate to offer. Read more.
